With the Dallas Stars leading the Western Conference through 43 games this season, general manager Jim Nill was rewarded Friday with a five-year contract extension.
As revealed in an official press release by the organization, the 57-year-old Nill is now slated to remain in his position through the 2022-23 season, although financial terms were not disclosed.
Stars owner Tom Gaglardi was extremely complimentary of Nill and credited him with helping the Stars develop into one of the NHL's elite teams:
In just over two years, Jim has helped instill a culture of excellence within our organization and extending that partnership to 2022-23 is vital for the direction of the hockey club.
