LAS VEGAS -- Stars captain Jamie Benn will miss Tuesday night's game in Las Vegas with an upper-body injury suffered Saturday, and re-aggravated Sunday against the Blackhawks.
Stars coach Jim Montgomery said Benn is expected to return Thursday when Dallas visits the Kings in Los Angeles.
"It's not precautionary," Montgomery said. "He's not available tonight."
Benn exited from Sunday's game in Chicago after just one shift and did not return. Tuesday's game was only the second one Benn has missed this season; he also missed Dallas' win over Washington on Jan. 4 with an upper-body injury following a hit by Miles Wood.
