Ken Hitchcock doesn't like when you call his style "defensive."
The veteran coach believes his team plays good defense by possessing the puck, and he believes you possess the puck with a heck of a lot of effort.
"The key for us is playing in the offensive zone, and to do that you have to have the puck," Hitchcock said. "You play defense by aggressively winning puck battles and keeping it away from the other team."
To do that, Hitchcock is going to ask top players like Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Jason Spezza to dig in and battle more.
