How some unluckiness has depressed Stars center Tyler Seguin's goal-scoring this season

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Throughout his career, Tyler Seguin has hovered around the league lead in offensive categories. He was seventh in goals last season and typically is in the top 10 on the NHL's points leaderboard. Those are the numbers the Stars have come to expect from Seguin.

But this year, he's leading the league in a category he would rather not: number of goal posts hit.

According to the NHL's official stats database, Seguin has hit 10 pipes this season (four crossbars and six posts), two more than Johnny Gaudreau and three more than Alex Ovechkin and Nikita Kucherov.
