When Lindy Ruff was fired by the Buffalo Sabres in 2012, he was second in NHL history for coaching wins with one franchise.
He spent a huge chunk of his life in the Sabres job, and that time had changed him, he said. So when he took over as head coach of the Stars in 2013, Ruff decided to wipe the slate clean and start on a new path -- one that has him coaching the Central Division at the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday and garnering some buzz for the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year this season.
