It seemed perfect that Mike Modano was on hand Saturday when Tyler Seguin scored his 40th goal of the season.
It was the first time Seguin tallied 40 goals, and he became just the third player since the team moved to Dallas in 1993 to hit that mark - with Modano and Jamie Benn being the other. And while that paints a picture of toe drags and dekes and one-timers, the manner in which Seguin tallied these numbers is the real story.
He did it by playing defense.
Well, by letting his defense lead to his offense.
