Heika: Stars' move to the top of the West stems from many areas of improvement in their game, except for one potentially crucial aspect

As report cards go, the Stars' looks pretty good this season.

-- Improvement in goals per game from 3.13 to 3.23.
-- Improvement in goals against from 3.13 to 2.79.
-- Improvement in shot differential from plus-1.3 per game to plus-2.
