Jim Nill is a planner.
He likes things to be in order, he doesn't like surprises, he makes sure his inbox doesn't fill up.
That way, if there is an emergency, he's ready to react.
Now, we don't know for sure that Nill considers his goaltending situation a full-blown emergency the way the rest of us do (he'll tell us what he thinks when players clear out their lockers on Friday), but he's in a pretty good place if he has to make big changes in net.
