Vernon Fiddler's career has taken him,among other places, from Arkansas to Nashville to Phoenix and now New Jersey.
Still, Dallas might hold the most special place in his heart.
Fiddler played 366 games with the Stars, the most in any one stop in his career, and he said Tuesday that he plans to live in Dallas when he retires. So when the 36-year-old center who now is a member of the New Jersey Devils, came back for a rare appearance as a visitor, it was memorable.
The Stars ran a tribute video for Fiddler during the first period and fans gave him a standing ovation.
