The Texas Stars knocked off the Rockford IceHogs 4-2 on Friday night, winning game one of the Western Conference Finals and saddling Rockford with their first loss of the postseason. Roope Hintz and Remi Elie both ended the game with two points each. Sheldon Dries had one goal, and Jason Dickinson played a strong two-way game.
“I thought that whole line [played well] with Dries and Dickinson, said Stars coach Derek Laxdal. I really like that line. They were a good line for us in the Tucson series. For us moving forward, we just gotta keep ramping it up a little bit and be harder a little bit.
