For first time in 12-year NHL career, Stars forward Andrew Cogliano to miss a game due to injury

LOS ANGELES -- For the first time in his NHL career, Stars forward Andrew Cogliano will miss a game due to an injury.

Cogliano is one of hockey's more durable players and his 830-game consecutive games played streak was the fourth-longest in NHL history before a two-game suspension last year ended it. Now, it's an upper-body injury that will keep Cogliano out of Dallas' game Thursday night against the Kings.

"When you're a human being and an extremely competitive and passionate player like Cogliano, you know when you're hurt," Stars coach Jim Montgomery said. "When you're hurt, you're hurt.
