CALGARY, Alberta -- As Ben Bishop laid hunched over in the crease to the left of the Stars bench, Anton Khudobin readied himself. He tightened the straps around his arms. He slipped a golf glove underneath his catching one. He slid his mask on. Then he entered the game.
The unfortunately familiar scene unfolded during the second period of the Stars' 2-1 win over Calgary on Wednesday night, when Bishop left the game with a lower-body injury and didn't return. Khudobin entered with 6:38 left in the period and preserved the Stars' sixth straight road win by making 15 saves.
