Just before puck drop tonight, Artem Grushnikov was a late scratch. As first reported by 100 Degree Hockey, he was the player sent to Calgary as part of the return for acquiring defenseman Chris Tanev from the Flames.
Re Tanev trade, #txstars had Artem Grushnikov in the lineup but swapped for Ben Zloty just before the puck went down. Take from that what you will. pic.twitter.com/R4yP5bGX5q

Grushnikov has not exactly lit the place on fire in the AHL this season. He is plus-3 with 1-4-5 in 44 games played.
