DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars unveiled a statue of Hockey Hall of Famer Mike Modano during Saturday night's home game against the Los Angeles Kings.
Modano is the franchise leader in goals, assists and games played.
"It's hard to put into words what this has meant," Modano said after wiping away tears following a one-minute standing ovation. "Thirty years ago we got on a plane in 1993 to come here (when the Minnesota North Stars moved to Dallas) and didn't know what to expect. Five years later we gave you a Stanley Cup in 1999.
