Yet another restricted free agent has avoided arbitration, as Dallas Stars forward Devin Shore signed a two-year deal with Dallas Friday. The deal averages $2.3 million each year against the salary cap, right between Radek Faksa ($2.2M) and Blake Comeau ($2.4M).
Shore averaged the fifth-most average ice time of the forwards last year (Janmark was 4th, Faksa 6th), and while his scoring didn’t quite live up to what many would hope for someone getting his level of power play time, Shore earned the trust of Ken Hitchcock, and now he has earned himself another $5 million dollars by his 25th birthday.
