In today’s NHL drafting is how you build a championship team because of the extraordinarily high cost of acquiring star players via trade or free agency. The Dallas Stars will look to do their part to build on their already strong core in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft this weekend.
This year’s battle for the top overall pick is between Connor McDavid from the ECHL and Jack Eichel from Boston University, but McDavid is almost certainly going to be an Oiler. The Stars find themselves with the ninth overall pick in the first round and the fifty-first overall pick in the second.
