The Dallas Stars protected seven forwards, three defensemen and a goalie as NHL teams listed the players on their roster who will be available for the NHL Expansion Draft to stock the Vegas Golden Knights.
Forwards — Jamie Benn, Jason Spezza, Tyler Seguin, Radek Faksa, Valeri Nichushkin, Antoine Russell and Brett Ritchie.
Defensemen — John Klingberg, Esa Lindell and Stephen Johns.
Goalie — Ben Bishop.
The Associated Press listed the players who were made available. But as WFAA contributor Sean Shapiro writes, the Stars could make “a side deal” with the Knights to keep other players protected.
