The Dallas Stars have earned the 2018 NHL Impact Award.

The announcement was made at Feeding Children Everywhere's second annual Hunger Hero Awards on June 22 in Orlando, Fla.

Last August, members of the franchise's front office and executive staff prepared over 25,000 meals that were then delivered to the North Texas Food Bank. From there, the meals were distributed locally to families in need all across DFW.

"The Stars organization is committed to serving our community in whatever ways we can," Dallas Stars President Brad Alberts said in a statement.
