It’s been back and forth between Kari Lehtonen and Antti Niemi between the pipes all season long for the Dallas Stars. Both goalies, like all net-minders in the NHL, have had their hot and cold, their shine and slumps, their shutouts and painful games.
Inevitably, at different points in the season, they have both been better than the other. As only five games remain before the beginning of the post-season, Kari Lehtonen has begun to separate himself.
Antti Niemi just had a huge game against his former team in San Jose, anchoring the Stars to a 4-2 win.
