A couple of weeks ago, it did not appear that the Dallas Stars had any chance of catching the Winnipeg Jets in the standings. After tough losses to Edmonton, Winnipeg and Colorado last month, all of which are the type of teams Dallas will need to go through to reach the Stanley Cup, even attempting to do it seemed futile. Since that loss to Colorado on March 16, the Stars have won every game since except for one, and are currently riding a six-game winning streak — four of which have come on the road.
Dallas Morning News writer Lia Assimakopoulos published an article yesterday discussing Dallas’ chances of winning the Central Division, and possibly even the President’s Trophy.
