The Dallas Stars are not eliminated from playoff contention. But after Saturday’s overtime loss to the Nashville Predators, they are no longer in control of their own destiny. To put it bluntly, their playoff hopes appear bleak.
That puts the Stars in a difficult position for the next five games when it comes to player usage. For instance, is it even worth dressing Tyler Seguin at this point?
His return would undoubtedly help the Stars, but Seguin may not be enough to get the Stars four wins in five games, especially with Denis Gurianov (upper body) and Jason Dickinson (lower body) injured as well.
