When the Dallas Stars announced that they would be airing their games on Victory+, which is free for in-market households, it was greeted with a lot of positive response, but with a lot of questions as well. With this decision, the Stars joined a very small group of teams that also offered free broadcasting, which includes the Anaheim Ducks (Victory+), Vegas Golden Knights, Utah Hockey Club & Florida Panthers (Scripps). What sets the Stars and Ducks apart from the rest of the pack is that Victory+ is exclusively a streaming service versus on-air.
D Magazine writer Sean Shapiro published a piece on his personal website, Shap Shots, that covered his interview with Jeremy Mason, who is the chief brand officer for A Parent Media Company (the company that supports Victory+).
