The Dallas Stars have officially never lost in Utah.
On the broadcast last night, Razor mentioned that Casey DeSmith backstopped the Penguins on the teams first visit to the Seattle to face the Kraken – which resulted in a Pens win. DeSmith had a chance to make himself 2 for 2 in maiden trips to new barns. After a couple shaky starts (and former fan-favorite Scott Wedgewood’s recent move), questions have been circling about the Stars backup goalie situation. Thankfully, on Monday night, DeSmith reminded us what he’s capable of, shutting down Utah in fine fashion.
DeSmith was the flag-bearer of grit in the game, coming off a less than stellar effort in a 6-2 loss at Chicago on Wednesday and was in dire need of a rebound.
