The first-period tally jumpstarted the Stars' 4-2 win over the Avalanche and helped them clinch home ice. But despite holding a 1-0 lead with under two minutes left in the game, the Blackhawks didn't beat the Blues in regulation (or at all), which means the top spot in the Central Division won't be settled until Game 82.
