When the Dallas Stars traded for Tyler Seguin back in the summer of 2013, there were several concerns about the young center’s character. He had a reputation as a young partier, which was one of the few reasons the Boston Bruins had chosen to move on from their former second-overall draft pick.
Seguin never wanted such labels to be attached to him, so when he moved to Dallas, he wanted things to be different. In particular, he wanted to have a much larger impact on the local community:
“I don’t like the words ‘give back,’ but I wanted to interact with that community.
