Dallas Stars head coach Jim Montgomery took a walk down memory lane yesterday. In town for Saturday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche, Montgomery got a chance to visit the University of Denver, where he led the men’s hockey team to a national title in 2017:
“It’s always good when you’ve lived in a place and have had great memories,” he said. “You’ve won championships, and as a family, we’ve had babies here, and great, great friends.”
Montgomery left Denver to take on the Stars’ coaching gig, and has started his NHL career with a 12-10-2 record across 24 games.
