John Klingberg has joined the dawn patrol. He's back in Frisco with several other Dallas Stars who have come back from vacation early to start practicing for the upcoming season.
He tells Mark Stepneski that he's "excited for this year," and there's plenty to be excited about. First of all, there's the new seven-year deal that will make him a millionaire and possibly end up as one of the NHL's best values).
"I was a little bit surprised. I thought maybe a two-year or three-year deal, somewhere there," Klingberg said. "I talked to my agent, and he said Jim wanted to make a long-term deal, and I was really surprised.
