The Stars’ injury problems went from bad to worse yesterday. The team placed Ales Hemsky on IR and could also find themselves without Jason Spezza in tonight’s game against the Jets. Patrick Eaves is also questionable for tonight, Jiri Hudler has started skating but won’t play, and Patrick Sharp remains out with concussion-like symptoms. (There are other injuries, but I’ll just stop there.)
The additional injuries prompted the Stars to call up Jason Dowling.
