The Dallas Stars have work to do this summer. From making a deal with Ben Bishop to sorting out new contracts for RFAs Radek Faksa and Brett Ritchie (and possibly re-signing UFAs Ales Hemsky and Patrick Sharp), the net and the forward corps will keep them busy enough by themselves.
But the Stars could have as much as $18 million in cap space this offseason, and that means a real chance to address the need for a left-handed defenseman – preferably one who can play on the first pair.
