Hockey is for Everyone is an NHL project that “uses the game of hockey – and the League’s global influence – to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities.”
It’s a movement designed to support everyone with a love for the game and provide an inclusive and safe environment for them, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or disability. In other words, they help reaffirm that hockey is for everyone.
This year, the Dallas Stars have extensive plans to celebrate Hockey is for Everyone throughout the month of February. In years past, they have hosted a You Can Play Night and auctioned off player sticks from warmups wrapped in Pride-themed tape while also hosting special guests to participate in the pre-game ceremonial puck drop.
