Some of the least surprising contract news of the season is came down today as the Dallas Stars announced a five-year contract extension for general manager Jim Nill.
Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News was the first with the story, and it was confirmed by the Stars shortly thereafter.

Nill's contract was set to expire after the 2017-18 season and would now go through 2022-23.
