It's easy to look at last season's offense and declare victory. The Stars were second in the league in scoring, and project to get Val Nichuschkin back in the lineup next season. Still, smart management is as much about maintaining advantage than addressing weakness. In that light, the acquisition of Patrick Sharp is a predictably canny move by GM Jim Nill.
The end result of the Dallas Stars' 2014-2015 offense was staggering. The Stars scored at a 3.13 goals-per-game clip, which was good to finish behind only the Stanley Cup runner-up Tampa Bay Lightning.
