Dallas knocked out two RFAs from their list this morning with the re-signing of Matu011bj Blümel and Emilio Pettersen to one-year, two-way contracts. Both played for Texas this season with Blümel earning All-Star honors and ranking second in points on the Texas club behind only league MVP Mavrik Bourque.
For Pettersen, it's a great sign that his trade in March to the Stars was a successful change of scenery. After the trade, the speedy forward had 13 points in 19 games across the regular season and postseason.
Among RFAs, Dallas still has forward Oskar Bäck and goalie Matt Murray outstanding from the Texas crew.
