The Dallas Stars had twice as many shots on net as the Detroit Red Wings, 46 to 23. They lost, 7-3.
That’s all I have to say about that, really.
First Period
Pain.
After a rather uneventful first half of the period, Detroit drew first blood off of a blistering one-timer from Jakub Vrana which rocketed past Anton Khudobin. The Red Wings proceeded to get several additional high-chance scoring opportunities, only stopped by either a timely Khudobin save or dumb luck.
But then with about four minutes left, a tip by Luke Glendening bounced the puck off the ice and past the goal-line.
