The recent retirement of Detroit Red Wings center Henrik Zetterberg brought to an end an impressive NHL career. In his 15 seasons with the Red Wings, Zetterberg led the Wings to the 2008 Stanley Cup, won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, amassed 960 points in 1,082 games, and became one of the league's best two-way forwards.
Not bad for a player selected in the seventh round (210th overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He joins Dominik Hasek, Brett Hull, Pavel Datsyuk, and Luc Robitaille as low draft selections who went on to NHL stardom.
