Jason Spezza did a great job to get a puck away from Arizona goalie Mike Smith behind the net and fed a wide open Radek Faksa in the slot midway through the second period. However, Coyotes' center Peter Holland blocked Faksa's shot at an open net and kept the score 2-1.
