Arttu Hyry's two goal third peirod puts Stars on top 4-2 over Griffins

Tied up at 2-2 in the final period, momentum began to shift in favor of the Grand Rapids Griffins when Kyle Capobianco was called for the Stars’ first penalty of the night for elbowing. With the man disadvantage, Arttu Hyry found the back of the net for the shorthanded goal for Texas’ first lead of the night.

Timing his shot just right at the right faceoff circle, Hyry tacked on his second goal to extend their lead forcing the Griffins to pull goalie Jack Campbell for the extra man late. Captain Curtis McKenzie capped off the Stars’ dominant third period with a deep empty netter for the 5-2 victory over Grand Rapids Wednesday night at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
