The AHL announced Antonio Stranges as the AHL Player of the Week for his performance in the final four games of the Stars west coast road trip. Stranges was 3-5=8 in 4 games played last week.
Stranges has had a breakout season with the Stars. He has 9-14=23 in 19 games played. This leads the Texas Stars and puts him tied for the seventh-highest scorer in the AHL this year. He has already matched his previous year's point total of 23, which he accomplished in 55 games.
Stranges had lost some hype as a prospect coming into the year.
