Charleston, South Carolina – The Allen Americans won a double overtime thriller, as Vincent Arseneau fired a shot past Stingrays goalie Jeff Jakaitis with 11:11 left on the clock in the second overtime and the Allen Americans won the game 3-2, to even the ECHL Kelly Cup Finals at 2-2.
The Americans got both of their goals in the opening period. First, Dyson Stevenson lifted a backhander past Jeff Jakaitis at the 6:15 mark to make it 1-0 Allen. Twenty nine seconds later, Greger Hanson followed up a rebound in front of the Stingrays net to make it 2-0 Americans.
