Forgive me for the lack of a clever intro, but really, the title says it all: where did this series go wrong for the Dallas Stars?
There were up 2-1 over the Edmonton Oilers, having seemingly figured out how to minimize and beat their top talent. They went up 2-0 to start Game 4 within the first five and a half minutes. They were the better team, and clearly deserving of punching their ticket toS the Stanley Cup Final. Until they weren’t, and they didn’t.
So again, where did it go wrong? Was it when Jason Robertson hit the post twice in overtime of Game 1, which (butterfly effect aside) would have ended up giving them a 3-0 series lead instead of a 2-1?
