One of the biggest complaints about the Dallas Stars this season is that they may not be as good as we expected them to be. Namely, they have often seemed to either fall short of top competition or not “take care of business” adequately enough against lesser opponents.
Now, we could spend a whole piece talking about whether or not this viewpoint is “fair” or not — I feel like the higher expectations are, the more critical fans are of shortcomings and the less acknowledging they are of successes — but, quite frankly, I don’t want to. Instead, let’s just take it at face value and accept that Stars fans haven’t been the happiest bunch as of late.
