CEDAR PARK -- The first thing that jumps out is the speed.
For Stars forward prospect Denis Gurianov, his ability to accelerate and separate from his opposition has long been part of his repertoire but this season, he's learning how to harness his talent more, AHL affiliate Texas coach Derek Laxdal said.
During Texas' 5-1 win over Milwaukee on Wednesday, Gurianov used a burst through the neutral zone to create a breakaway and finish with a goal between Tom McCollum's legs. It was part of a three-point night for Gurianov, who now has nine goals and 16 assists in 21 AHL games.
