The annual NHL Awards ceremony is usually a combination of mockable presenters, outright boredom and eyebrow raising at odd people who were nominated once the full lists of votes are released.
This year, however, promises to be different. That’s because the league will reveal the results of this year’s expansion draft, where one eligible player from each team will be selected by the Las Vegas Golden Knights, throughout the program. Which means it’s actually worth it to tune in this year at 7 p.m. CDT on NBCSN (or Sportsnet, if you’re north of the border).
