What new Maverick Aaron Harrison brings to the table; plus Rick Carlisle's plans for Salah Mejri and Nerlens Noel

The Mavericks signed former Kentucky standout Aaron Harrison to a 10-day contract Thursday morning, electing to let Jameel Warney return to the Texas Legends to clear space for Harrison.

Warney, whose 10-day deal expired Wednesday, had effective minutes in spot duty, but the Mavericks have had a surplus of big men all season.

Harrison is a legitimate shooting guard with well-respected 3-point ability.

He's a 2-guard that can shoot," coach Rick Carlisle said. "I talked to Jeff Van Gundy, who coached him on the USA team (last summer). Jeff had positive things to say about him.
