NEW ORLEANS -- Dennis Smith Jr. will return tonight from his sprained right wrist against the Pelicans, and he said after the Mavericks' shootaround that there still is one thing he will try his best not to do in his first game back.
Falling.
"I would try to avoid it, if possible," Smith said of whether the wrist is strong enough now to brace him should he take a tumble. "But I don't think it'll affect me too much if I did. I haven't done it yet. I don't plan on doing it tonight."
Smith has missed 10 of the last 11 games with the wrist injury, originally suffered in November.
