What gives Mark Cuban hope that Mavericks can bounce back next season like Cowboys did after 2015

Given their 11-1 start to the season, it can be easy to forget that the Cowboys were in a similar last year as the Mavericks are in now. Injuries to key pieces like Tony Romo and Dez Bryant quickly derailed the team, much like injuries to Dirk Nowitzki and others have left the Mavs with an NBA-worst 4-17 record.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban hopes those similarities continue into the offseason and beyond, starting with Dallas' first-round draft pick.

The Cowboys earned the fourth-overall pick in the 2016 draft and selected running back Ezekiel Elliott. Dallas then selected quarterback Dak Prescott in the fourth round.
