LOS ANGELES -- Like most great competitors, Harrison Barnes would rather go through life saying "I can't believe I did that" than wondering why he never tried something.
That outlook is serving him quite well early in his Mavericks career, which is quickly gaining attention around the NBA.
Barnes didn't need to advertise it, but he wanted the challenge of becoming a go-to player, which he never would have gotten had he stuck with the Golden State Warriors. He'll make his first trip back to Oracle Arena as a Maverick on Wednesday night.
It'll be different, just as it was when he played an exhibition game there with the U.
