TORONTO -- Harrison Barnes will not be on a strict minutes restriction Friday night when he makes his season debut against the 5-0 Raptors after missing the first four games with a right hamstring strain.
However, coach Rick Carlisle said he will monitor Barnes closely and keep a watchful eye on the Mavericks' leading scorer from the last two seasons.
"He's all set to go," Carlisle said. "I expect him to play a little shorter stretches than normal to make sure he doesn't get super-winded because he hasn't played in an exhibition or (regular-season) game. That said, he's in great shape.
