Breaking up is never easy to do. It’s hard to walk away from someone who used to stir inside of you such resounding feelings of hope and joy. No matter how nasty it gets, no matter how many times your friends and family tell you that that person wasn’t good for you, there’s still a small part of you that wants to find a way to hold on and make it work.
That small part of the Dallas Mavericks died on Tuesday night. The break up between the organization and their volatile point guard has been a long time coming, but it finally came to a head with their announcement Wednesday that Rondo has been ruled out indefinitely.
