The calendar wasn’t the only thing turning over for the Mavericks on Monday night

OKLAHOMA CITY - To 2018, the Mavericks said goodbye and good riddance on New Year's Eve.

Oh, sure. There were some bright moments. Draft night comes to mind.

But by and large, the Mavericks had to endure too many losses, too many disappointments and not enough good times.

They enter 2019 with far more promise.

The way they bid adieu to 2018 was as crummy as it was predictable.

After eking out a two-point win against Oklahoma City on Sunday in Dallas, the Mavericks were rolled 122-102 24 hours later as the Thunder dominated start to finish.
